Keep Onespartanburg Beautiful

Improved community appearance betters that community’s health, safety, and quality of life, along with its potential for economic growth and development. The OneSpartanburg community assessment showed residents wanted a cleaner, more inviting Spartanburg to show off to visitors and as a point of community pride.

Keep OneSpartanburg Beautiful just earned its Keep America Beautiful affiliate designation and has set its priorities for making our community a more beautiful place.

Beautify Spartanburg’s Gateways

Gateway beautification will clean up the routes leading locals, visitors, and possible residents to Spartanburg. A cleaner, more welcoming trip to Spartanburg only makes our thriving community more appealing.

Establish Community Clean-ups

The effectiveness of organized clean-up days has been proven. In October, more than 80 volunteers hit the streets of Spartanburg and Inman, picking up 62 bags – or 1,550 pounds – worth of trash.

Success for Keep OneSpartanburg Beautiful requires the community to buy-in. That means working with law enforcement countywide to curb litter and illegal dumping, keeping garbage where it’s meant to be, and not encroaching on Spartanburg’s natural beauty.

We’re calling on community members across Spartanburg County to help us identify beautification projects to tackle, roadways to prioritize for clean-up, and neighborhood awareness efforts.

A Neighborhood Beautification Grant program is in the works, allowing neighborhoods to apply for grant money dedicated to neighborhood-specific beautification projects.
